Will i have to go to school to become a certified pharmacy technician?
jeffnicolas asked:
Or can i just take the state exam, pass it and then become certified. I’m already enrolled as a full time student with hopes of recieving a AA degree in pharmacy and then i’ll transfer to a major university to recieve my bachelors degree in pharmacy. My only concern is employment while im in school. Thats why i made the decision to become a certified technician while im enrolled as a full time student

No. You just have to pass an exam. You don’t have to even pass the exam in most states to become a pharm tech.
The BS Pharm degree was discontinued closed to 10 years ago. The current degree is the PharmD degree. Taking your prereqs at a CC will put you at a disadvantage if you are applying without a bachelors.
