What’s the best approach in getting a Pharmacy Technician job in a community pharmacy?
AnonymousQuestionerAnswerer asked:
I just graduated from high school and i took classes to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Now I’m at the hard part where I’m looking for a job in a community pharmacy like CVS or RiteAid, or a privately owned pharmacy. What’s the best way to be noticed that I want the job? Should I talk to the head pharmacist on site? Or should i take it further and actually talk to the head manager of the store? Any ideas? (If your a pharmacy tech i’d look into your answer more since you’ve been there).

talking to the store manager won’t help you…..but it will piss off the pharmacist that will be hiring you. The store manager is not our boss. We answer to a corporate pharmacy honcho. We are an autonomous business that is merely located in the store.
My suggestion is to apply according to store procedures. After you have applied, then you can drop off a well-written resume and speak briefly with the pharmacist.
