greenburg603 asked:
I heard from a friend of mine that it doesn’t take long to become a pharmacy technician? He told me that it takes a couple of months to go to school? How does the program work? He told me that you go to school for a month then start working as a Pharmacy technician and you can be a certified Pharmacy technician too.

You don’t have to go to school for this. Go to any Walgreens or CVS in your area and apply for the job. They’ll hire you, train you, and pay for you to become certified.
first you go to school for 3 to 2 months
then you have to pass the test
then you have to finish your intership (lasts about 2 weeks)
then maybe you will get a job
Yup. She’s right. A Pharm tech is basically another part time job for most college pre-pharmacy majors. You can go to any drug store or pharmacy in your area and apply to become one with no prior training or experience needed.
I believe you may be confusing a pharmacy tech with a pharmacist, which usually requires about 2 years of undergraduate work and then 4 years or so of Pharmacy school.
contact your local community college and make an appointment with a counselor. this is a great field that pays well.
