At our local Target and Meijer pharmacy the pharmacists degrees are on the wall, you can match the name and the diploma. Also, many places have a photo and a sign displaying the “pharmacist on duty”. You can always just ask them. I am not sure, as I am a pharmaceutical chemist, not a pharmacist, but I think legally a pharmacist must either fill or check the filling of the prescription, so if prescriptions are being filled there must be one on duty. If you are just picking up later on I am not sure if they must be present, perhaps.
usually the pharmacist is wearing a white lab coat and the others do not.
Can’t you just ask them?
ask. Sometimes their name tag will say.
I am cpht who works in a hospital. We all wear id badges so that is one way to tell. Also, the pharmacist have their own designated areas where they work. The pt’s have their own work area. We wear scrubs while the pharmacists just wear slacks and shirt.
There must always be a pharmacist on duty while the pharmacy is open. Usually the one with the white coat, and I believe everyone’s badge must state their title.
